Features and Maintenance of Semi-Electric Forklifts

Semi-electric forklift: structural features and maintenance instructions. It is propelled by human power for walking and uses electric-hydraulic lifting. During turning, the steering is facilitated by a rotating mechanism beneath the handle, allowing for smooth and effortless maneuvering. When lifting and stacking, the handle on the mast enables flexible placement of loads at the desired location.
Main features of semi-electric forklifts:

Maintenance of the hydraulic system of a semi-electric forklift:
The hydraulic station requires hydraulic oil replacement every 1–2 years, along with cleaning of the suction filter. Hydraulic oil should be either No. 20–No. 40 machinery oil or dedicated hydraulic oil; mixing oils of different grades is strictly prohibited. For hydraulic cylinders, care must be taken to prevent damage to the piston rod; if insufficient lifting force or leakage occurs, the seals and dust rings should be replaced.
Operation and maintenance of lead-acid batteries for semi-electric stackers (maintenance-free batteries are excluded):
Before operating the vehicle’s onboard battery, first check whether electrolyte has been added to the battery. (Typically, batteries are shipped without electrolyte for safety reasons.) If the battery is not yet filled with electrolyte, first prepare a 1:1.28 sulfuric acid–water electrolyte solution (available on the market, commonly referred to as “battery water”) and add it up to the battery’s fill line. When the ambient temperature is above 25°C, allow the battery to cool for one hour, then use the vehicle’s onboard charger to top up the charge for two hours before putting the battery into service.
Regularly check the electrolyte’s level of evaporation by opening the battery cover and observing the electrolyte height. If the level is below the top of the battery plates, add distilled water until it rises about one centimeter above the plates. After adding distilled water three times, use a hydrometer to measure the electrolyte specific gravity; if it falls below 1.28 (measured after charging), add electrolyte with a specific gravity of 1.28 as needed. Adding electrolyte with a specific gravity that is too low will impair the battery’s ability to store charge. After inspecting the battery or topping up the electrolyte, replace the battery cover, then rinse the battery case with hot water to prevent leakage.
